While staring longingly at the display of pink, heart shaped J-Lo hoop earrings in Macy*s, I decided that I would take the ten dollars I was planning on buying a Dirty Dancing poster with and pierce my ears.

My mother vehemently and (unsuccessfully) attempted to persuade me that I would die of hepatitis if I let "that gay man who was probably dying of AIDS at the Piercing Pagoda" put holes in my head.

But I persevered. And if I have not died of complications from AIDS in four weeks, I get to remove the studs and wear the J-Lo ones. Wee! So this is how all those 8 year old girls feel.

hooray for j-lo earrings!
when i was in kindergarten all the girls were getting
their ears pierced
when i finally convinced my mother to let me do it
it hurt so bad, i screamed and cried!
also, i refused to pierce the other ear.
for the longest time, i only had one ear pierced.
around 7th grade, i discovered i had acquired ear piercing amnesia!
and finished the job.

but i rarely wear more than little studs..

yea it was about a year and a half ago.

my mom came with me and wanted to hold my hand. we were in the middle of the mall and iwas like. uh no thanks mom. i think i can handle it.
